One project that stands out was troubleshooting an underperforming asset, digging into what wasn’t working, identifying the likely gaps, and helping figure out what we could actually change to improve performance. That kind of problem solving is probably my favorite type of work.
Curiosity. I think genuine curiosity, especially when it’s paired with openness, is one of the best paths to understanding people and solving problems. It keeps me asking questions instead of assuming I already know the answer, and I’ve found that usually leads somewhere more interesting and useful.
Another option: Adaptability.
I really value adaptability, the ability to stay open when circumstances change and figure out what the situation actually needs rather than getting overly attached to how you thought it was supposed to go. It’s something I’ve increasingly valued both personally and professionally.
I live in Europe now, so every weekend trip kind of feels like a vacation (brag much?). But the next bigger trips should be the Swiss Alps and Austria around Christmas, then hopefully Greece and Italy in the spring. There’s a pretty endless list of places over here I want to explore.
